- Interview granted a few minutes before landing in Havana to the Cuban journalists who accompanied him on his trip to North and South America.
- Arrival at Rancho Boyeros Airport after 3:00 pm. He was welcomed by Raúl Castro.
- Cheers of a large crowd as he rode along Rancho Boyeros Avenue on a convertible jeep, accompanied by Raúl Castro, Camilo Cienfuegos,
- Ernesto Che Guevara, Juan Almeida, Ramiro Valdés and Efigenio Ameijeiras.
- Speech delivered at a large welcoming demonstration at the Civic Square where he said: “It is when you leave your homeland and see what happens in other parts of our continent, that you feel satisfied with our people’s work.”
